📜 The Journey of DotStudios
DotStudios began its journey in January 2022, originally known as Asthete Studios. The studio entered the creative tech space with its first Android app, WallXenix — a wallpaper application that stood out for its clean UI and aesthetic design. It quickly gained popularity and surpassed 50,000 downloads on the Play Store, marking a successful beginning.
In mid-2022, the studio rebranded as Uify Studios to better align with its evolving design vision. Along with the rebrand came the release of WallXenix 2.0, now renamed XWALLi, featuring a refined experience and improved customization. However, due to various internal and market challenges, the app was discontinued, and the studio temporarily stepped back from public releases.
By late 2023, Uify Studios returned with a renewed vision and a clear roadmap. The team announced three upcoming apps:
FishNote – a lightweight, minimal note-taking app
Harmony – a beautifully designed music player
Minwalp – a redesigned and improved version of the original WallXenix
This phase focused heavily on UI/UX experimentation and feature innovation. During development, the studio briefly rebranded again, this time to Palettes, under which the Harmony music player was being polished. The aim was to offer visually pleasing, performance-driven experiences across all apps.
However, setbacks soon followed. In mid-2024, FishNote was rejected by the Play Store due to policy restrictions. Around the same time, Harmony began facing performance issues on certain Android versions, limiting its growth. These hurdles led to yet another identity shift, and the studio briefly operated under the name Envor Studios.
Later in 2024, following a period of reflection and refining its core direction, the studio made a final and confident rebranding as DotStudios — a name representing clarity, creativity, and consistency.
Under DotStudios, two apps were released:
DotPaper – a modern, elegant wallpaper app
DotTunes – a refined music player aimed at a minimal, ad-free listening experience
These apps received moderate success, but persistent issues in DotTunes led to the decision to remove both apps from the Play Store in June 2024.
Refusing to stop there, the studio used this as an opportunity to reset its standards, rework its development process, and raise the quality bar for future projects. The focus shifted toward building powerful, user-first tools and experiences.
Now in 2025, DotStudios is back and stronger than ever. Two major apps are currently in active development:
Elunae – a new concept app with a focus on aesthetics and utility, set to launch in August 2025
Stitch – a feature-rich, highly customizable wallpaper app, expected to launch in late 2025 or early 2026
The journey of DotStudios has been one of evolution, setbacks, and comebacks — and this is only the beginning. With a refined vision and a passion for great design, DotStudios is committed to creating meaningful and creative digital products.
